I will be preparing a Written Question for the Commission to ask whether any money will be forthcoming from the EU’s Disaster Fund to help families who have lost their homes and belongings in the flooding that has hit West Cumbria (left). In other words giving the British people back, in their hour of need, just a tiny fraction of the huge amount of money they have paid into the European Union.
